Fresh Wall Art

I have wanted new art to hang over our sofa for a long time, and finally found the perfect thing—my old Snow & Graham calendar! I knew there was a reason I couldn’t bare to throw it away. The best part is, I can rotate the wall art seasonally! I can’t wait to hang the pretty pink cherry blossoms in the summer and the frosty blue trees in winter.

The challenge was finding square frames. I ended up with plain black 12×12 frames from Hobby Lobby, which were inexpensive, but next time we’re at IKEA I’d love to get some of their raw wood frames if they have the right size. I spent a little more on the mats since the square size is hard to find and I didn’t want plain white. I went to Tandem Brick on Ingersoll. It’s a great little framing/gift shop. If you haven’t checked it out, it’s worth a stop.

Hanging is always hard too. I knew I wanted them hung fairly close together, but getting them all lined up and even is easier said than done. Maybe when we move into a house we’ll splurge and get one of those laser levels (Adam is all about the gadgets).
