July 11, 2009 Cody and Laura Johnson Wedding

I am so spoiled this year to get to celebrate so many of my closest friend’s weddings! Not only is it so exciting to see my friends with amazing men, but it means that I get to see my girls more than usual! The 5 of us have been together twice this year. First for Dan and Becca’s wedding in Berkeley and now for Laura and Cody’s wedding in Des Moines.

I never would have guessed that the girl who moved into my room second semester of junior year would become one of my best friends. But who could resist the beautiful redhead who was always ready to have fun? Now more than 5 years later she knows me better than most.

Laura’s dad said it best in his toast when he said that he has seen our bond of friendship that is like family. That is exactly what these girls are to me. I love them dearly and know I can count on them for anything. I know and love their families and am so excited to see us moving into the next chapter of our lives (Lynn is the last of us to turn 26 later this month and informed us that according to a study that is when we are officially adults! and in our late 20s, I can’t believe it!)

I love this photo of the happy couple. They were married at Jester Park on a beautiful deck overlooking Saylorville Lake. After the ceremony they had lawn games set up on the hill that we played ’til the sunset!

Laura got us all vintage clutches! Mine’s the blue one.
