Going Green
I’m all for doing my part to save the planet, but sometimes I have to admit I’m a little skeptical about some of the “eco-friendly” campaigns out there.
That said, I made a stop at one of my favorite local grocery stores yesterday (Campbell’s Nutrition) and made a few purchases.
The first was a KleanKanteen. I like to carry a water bottle with me (I get cranky when I’m hungry and thirsty, just ask Adam) and for the past year I’ve been “recycling” cheap plastic water bottles. I know, I know. They leach BPA (or something like that) and fill up the landfills, and I’ve even heard they can cause breast cancer (I think that’s going a little too far). So I finally took the plunge and spent $19.95 on a stainless steel waterbottle.
I also got another chico bag These are my favorite reusable grocery bags. They hold A LOT of groceries and fold up into a handy pouch that fits in my purse. Definitely worth the $5.
I got home and realized my “green” purchases were both the color green. What can I say? It’s a good color.
What eco-friendly tips do you have?
